How to Find That Work-Life Balance

It’s easier said than done but… deep breaths, boss babe.

We all know the struggle – wearing too many hats, the never-ending to-do list, and the constant question of “when will I ever have a life?”

It’s… a LOT.

But guess what? Finding the elusive work-life balance is actually totally achievable! (shocker, right?!)

Here are some real-talk tips we’ve learned (the hard way sometimes!) to help you find that sweet spot between CRUSHING IT in your business / career and actually enjoying your life again:

1. Set clear work hours and stick to them as much as possible.

Let your clients, team, and even yourself know when you’re “off the clock.” This creates a predictable schedule and helps you separate work from “me time.”

2. Delegate Like a Boss.

You don’t have to be a one-man (or woman) show – delegate tasks to your team or outsource things like accounting or social media (we’ve got you, babes) so you can focus on what you do best and let others take care of the rest.

3. Prioritise Your Projects.

Not all tasks are created equal. Figure out what absolutely needs to get done each day, tackle those first, and leave the less urgent stuff for later. (To-do lists and productivity apps are gonna be your best friends here)

4. Learn to Say No (Without Feeling Bad)

It’s tempting to say yes to everything, but being overbooked leads to burnout, and we don’t want THAT – it isn’t worth it. Try to prioritise your time and energy by politely declining things that don’t align with your goals or leave you feeling drained.

5. Schedule “You” Time

Make time for things you ACTUALLY enjoy that aren’t work – whether it’s reading a good book, hitting the gym, or catching up with friends. A happy you is a productive you – remember that!

6. Tech & Tools

Scheduling apps, communication platforms, and project management software can save you TONS of time and help you keep things organised.

7. Set Goals You Can SMASH

Don’t overwhelm yourself with impossible dreams. Set achievable goals for yourself and your business and celebrate ALL of your wins, big and small, to stay motivated.

8. If possible, create a separate work area from your living space.

It helps you switch gears from “work mode” to “relaxation mode” and prevents distractions during the day.

9. Disconnect to Recharge

It’s tempting to check emails 24/7, but trust me, unplugging is crucial (and should be non-negotiable sometimes). Set specific times to disconnect from work and focus on things that fill your cup instead of work.

10. Pls pls pls BE PATIENT WITH YOURSELF

Remember, work-life balance is a journey, not a destination. YOU CAN DO IT ALL, but you’ve got to be kind to yourself. With a little intention and self-care, you can create a life where you’re thriving both professionally and personally (which is what we all ultimately want xx)
